Questions

Why convert VTT to SRT?

SRT is the safe choice. Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, VLC and most upload forms take it. VTT support is patchier outside the browser.

What happens to VTT styling and positions?

Cue settings like position and alignment are dropped. Simple tags like <i> and <b> stay in the text, which many SRT players show as italic or bold.

Does it handle NOTE and STYLE blocks?

Yes. They are skipped, and only the timed lines become SRT cues.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Nothing is uploaded. The file is read and converted by your browser, on your device. It even works offline once the page has loaded.
