Questions

What is Discord's upload limit?

Discord's pages disagree. Its File Attachments FAQ says free accounts got 20 MB in August 2026, but its Account Caps page still lists 10 MB. We aim under 10 MB, so it posts either way. Checked 27 October 2026.

Will my game clip still look good?

Short clips do. Fast motion needs bits, so 20 seconds stays at 1080p, a minute at 720p, and a few minutes drops to 480p. Trim to the moment for the sharpest result.

Does it keep the sound?

Yes, as AAC at 64 kbps. A clip with no audio comes out as picture only.

Is my video uploaded?

No. Nothing is uploaded. Your browser reads the video, shrinks it and saves the new file, all on your device. Private clips stay private.
